Waste No More!

Problem
It's a growing issue across college campuses in the US, bout 30% of college students are food-insecure and are worried about whether they can afford their next meals. Supply isn't necessarily the issue, our dining halls have more than enough food, but a lot of it is getting thrown out at the end of the day.
Solution
To tackle these issues of food waste and food insecurity on college campuses, the Waste No More! mobile app would serve as a platform for students and staff to post and be notified of when and where excess food is available across campus. In partnership with on-campus vendors and departments, this app would help redistribute leftover food from campus events and dining halls to students in need.

The goals behind Waste No More! are not only to reduce food insecurity and food waste, but to also dive deeper into the discussion on our relationship with food, our perceptions of food quality, and how that influences our decision-making.
